Just a note about Megan being a Super Host. We returned to the condo on Sat eve and noticed an issue. We debated on whether to message her on a Sat. eve, but being former landlords ourselves, we thought we should at least mention it, so we messaged her. She replied immediately and came over 10 min later to check it out. It was nothing earth shattering, but she said she wanted to address it so our stay could be perfect! You noted the bedroom smoke detector was beeping and chose to remove the batteries, saying it wasn’t a concern since there were other detectors and it could be addressed after checkout. You also kindly emailed upon departure, which I appreciated. However, when our cleaning team arrived shortly after, they found the dishwasher overflowing with suds into the kitchen. When I followed up, you confirmed you used dish soap instead of the provided pods because they “looked old.” Dishwasher pods do not expire, and we restock them for every stay. Using dish soap in a dishwasher causes this and required us to have it flushed and reset professionally. Lastly, we were surprised by the 4 star cleanliness rating, as we consistently receive 5 star reviews in this area. I’d be interested to understand what did not meet that standard during your stay.

As well, the actual property manager (who to my knowledge is not affiliated with the host) was not helpful when there was excessive noise (kids screaming) at 7am despite complex quiet hours until 8am. As well, the condo was to be exterminated (beginning as early as 8am) while we were there. While the host provided about a day’s notice, there were apparently supposed to be signs posted several days prior (property mgr’s responsibility) that were not posted. While I understand the importance of pest control in HI, more notice would have prevented schedule changes/inconvenience.

The AC units are designed to cool the space efficiently and do include a quiet mode, and most guests find them very comfortable — but I understand that everyone has different sensitivities to sound. Similarly, this is the first time I’ve received feedback about hearing neighboring appliances or footsteps, though as with any condo community, occasional noise can happen. Regarding the early morning noise and the scheduled pest control service, I completely understand how that could feel disruptive. I did provide notice as soon as I was informed, and I’ve followed up with the property management team to ensure earlier communication and proper signage moving forward. Thank you again for staying with us and for taking the time to share your experience. I’d happily host you again anytime you return to Maui.

The pool and hot tub area were open from 8am to 10pm and had a very family-friendly atmosphere. Everyone around was kind and respectful, which made the whole experience even better. We originally planned to split our trip between this Airbnb and a hotel, but after staying here, we canceled the hotel and extended our stay

We had a delightful time with our 4 and 6 year old kids, taking full advantage of the on-site pool and easy access to the beach. This flat gets a special bonus award for being one of the only properties we’ve stayed at that has a clothes drying rack - a little thing that makes week-long stay manageable and nearly always gets forgotten at other places we’ve stayed. Finally, the air conditioning works brilliantly, the windows close properly and no noise permeates from the other flats or outside, so you can sleep soundly. Would definitely recommend!

We're excited for this upgrade and appreciate everyone’s patience during the transition. As you mentioned, the complex itself was built in the mid-70s, just like many others across Kihei and Maui, but we’ve worked hard to make sure our unit feels modern, fresh, and thoughtfully equipped. As you probably noticed, the property is well cared for and manicured with tropical plants, foliage, and fruit trees. While the beach across the street is more low-key, we love it for long peaceful morning walks, collecting shells and coral, and especially for grabbing beach chairs and watching the gorgeous Maui sunsets. For guests looking for great swimming or snorkeling, we highly recommend the scenic drive just a few minutes south to Wailea Beach—it’s a favorite of ours. One of the things we love about North Kihei is that it’s a bit quieter and less touristy than the busier parts of South Kihei. That said, we’re still just a 5–10 minute drive from three major grocery stores, restaurants, and shops, so it offers a great balance of calm and convenience.

It`s "the little things" that make a huge difference, like the binoculars by the window or the amenities in the bathroom. You have an A/C in every room which can get quite useful in the summer months I guess. Due to the several windows you can open we didn`t need it. The highlight for sure was being able to watch the whales from the living room. Simply unforgettable, we`ll treasure this forever. Thx for having us!!

You really can't go wrong with renting here and I would definitely recommend it. If i had one constructive comment, it would be that there isnt anything that blows you away or "wows" you about the unit in the sense that Maui AIRBNBs are numerous and many of them offer fundamentally the same service or amenities. Even though the unit can fit 4 - 5 people, only having one couch for example is a bit of a bummer. All in all, you'd be stupid not to rent here and we hope the unit can only improve over time.

Great place for everyone who wants to enjoy Maui outside of big resorts. The condo is as described - ocean view, clean, and well-stocked with all essentials. I really appreciate that there was no smoking allowed in the condo and people around were not smoking so the little patio was fresh air! Nice stay for a couple of days.

Wailea was lovely, lots of great beaches and the tropical plantation was so sweet with all the ducks. Close drive to Akamai coffee (our fav morning spot) and ekolu kitchen too which was delicious! Megan and Bryan checked on us after our first night and we felt at ease at their responsiveness. Lots of cable channels to pick from too in evenings. We will certainly be back!!! TY!

There is a beach with soft sand across the street. I love the sound of the ocean waves and waking up to the picture window and lanai facing the beach every morning. The resort property managers are helpful, friendly and caring. The Kihei grocery and eateries are a few minutes away by car (about 1.5 - 2 mile drive). Communication with Megan was easy and clear. We had a magnificent time. We stayed with 3 friends in the apartment. The king bed in the master bedroom was big enough to share as friends. There is only one bathroom, but it is very handy that there is a basin in the bathroom and another one just in front of the bathroom. There were plenty of towels for showering and the beach. There were also sun chairs, a full face snorkelling mask and a body board. We enjoyed having those at the beach. Kihei was a great location to explore the entire island. As a welcome Megan and Brian provided tea, biscuits and coffee for the first morning. Coffee filters were also provided. You can filter tap water with the Brita water filter. We enjoyed time on the balcony in the mornings and evenings. I think during the day it’s quite hot on the balcony. But you’ll probably be out to explore anyway. All in all I would recommend the place as it was also one of the more affordable 2 bed room apartments. Thanks a lot for making our Maui experience unforgettable

Their place is beautiful, well kept, and had every single thing you could think of needing while in Hawaii such as snorkeling gear, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas which saved us as most beaches have little to no shade. Megan and Bryan's condo was great, perfect for our Maui vacation. We love the location in Kihei which is less touristy and was very close to the farmer's market and Sugar Beach Bake Shop nearby. Lot's of amenities including beach chairs and a fresh pineapple! They were very responsive and provided great recommendations for beaches, food, and things to do.
We had the perfect stay! The condo was perfect - located on the “quieter” side of Kihei but an easy 5-10 minute drive to all the restaurants you could need. An easy walk across the street from the beach (which was never busy) and super doable with the provided beach chairs. The sound of the ocean at night along with the 30-second walk to the beach is already missed as I type this from SF. This was a fun girls trip with two friends who had never been to Maui before. The condo was perfect for us. The day we came, there was a storm that washed out part of the road about a block away from the condo and caused a water main break, so the city closed the road and turned off the water until around noon the next day. At least two of us got hot showers before going to bed. My other friend lost out since she opted to shower that morning instead. Megan had left water in the refrigerator for us, so we were able to make our morning coffee with the K-cups that were provided. Water was restored and we had no other problems the rest of our stay. The condo was exactly like it was described. The pool and hot tub were nice. The laundry facility onsite was still not available, but there was a nice one about a mile away. All in all, it was a great trip and I would love to come again!

I can’t give Megan and Bryan enough stars. We were left stranded by a cancelled airbnb the day we landed in Maui, and were saved by this wonderful airbnb. Clean, well laid out, every amenity covered, right by the beach, everything was wonderful. We have 2 small kids, Megan and Bryan immediately brought us a brand new crib and high chair! Just fantastic.

Had a wonderful stay here at this apartment. Very spacious and directly at the beach. You just need to cross the street. The unit is well decorated and well equipped. I really enjoyed the mattress quality. Easy check in and check out process. The only « negative » thing was that there was no more body wash and shampoo.

Clean place although just one toilet paper and it was nice to have first help kit when needed. We do have a note posted on the refrigerator stating that we do provide a "starter pack" of toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, and soap only. We do leave basic condiments for guests in the refrigerator, which many appreciate since it's unlikely to use an entire bottle during a stay, but we have cleaned out the soy sauce and rice that had past "best by" dates, thank you for bringing that to our attention. The listing does notate that there are steps guests will need to access and that it is a top floor unit, however I will add to the listing that there is no elevator. Thank you for your feedback!

The bedrooms were spacious, had window AC units and ceiling fans, and did not have a TV. The kitchen was well-equipped, was modern and spacious, and was great for cooking. The washer and dryer were convenient and kept our son's baseball uniform nice and clean. This home was clean with modern and functional furniture. Megan and Bryan were very responsive, which made us feel welcome. They even accommodated a late check-out at 2:00 p.m.

The unit was lovely and had everything you could need. The location was convenient as was the parking, right at the front door. It was as advertised and is a good value for the money. The AC unit was in fact working and still does work properly, as it did appear to be slight operator error, but we have adjusted the settings on the AC unit. I do apologize for not being able to come right over to address the AC temperature being too cool, as I had mentioned to you, we were off island for a day and the following day as I mentioned, we had to put our dog to sleep. They also had a small collection of child plates and utensils which made meals easy as well!
Great budget place to stay! It was worth the cost. It’s a little outdated but not a huge deal and actually was cute. I loved the wood pellet ceiling! Location was great, it was near a lot of shops and beaches.

Amazing view. Upon arriving at the condo you are immediately drawn to the view from the lanai, from here you can sit and watch the whales in the bay. The sunsets from here are amazing and even with the tree outside did not obstruct the view. In fact watching the birds in the tree was a favourite thing to do. Beaucoup d’informations laissées sur place en lien avec les plages, les restos et les commodités autour. Le logement est bien équipé avec les trucs de base pour la cuisine. Il y a aussi tout ce qu’il faut pour la plage déjà sur place (glacières : petite et grosse; parasols, chaises de plage, plusieurs bougies board, tapis de plage, tuba, palme, veste de flottaison adultes, plusieurs serviettes de plage, jouets de sable pour les petits, etc). Tout cet équipement facilite grandement la vie 😊 La localisation du logement est super également, avec plusieurs belles plages à proximité. L’endroit est central pour se déplacer facilement sur l’île. Nous sommes complètement tombés sous le charme de Maui et y retourner, nous reviendrions sans aucune hésitation chez Megan et Bryan. A lot of information left on site related to the beaches, restaurants and amenities around. The accommodation is well equipped with basic cooking stuff. There is also everything you need for the beach already on site (coolers: small and large; umbrellas, beach chairs, several board candles, beach mats, snorkel, fin, adult life jacket, several beach towels, sand toys for the little ones, etc.). We had an excellent stay at Megan and Bryan’s airbnb! There were ceiling fans and ACs in the living room and both bedrooms that provided great relief from the outside heat. The kitchen came with a good amount of basic amenities for cooking and storing food. Cons: None We were amazed with this place. Host goes above and beyond for guest to be accommodated. I’ve stayed at several different Airbnb where hosts do the minimal for guest and expect a lot . This stay really stood out. Only little side note is that we were enjoying the pool one day with very low music around 7pm, and the manger came out and said no music or to use earphones ( little ridiculous to say when you are in a pool). Again, this has nothing to do with the place itself or host just giving future guest a heads up with music.

The condo had everything we needed and was furnished with a supply of the basics, laundry soap, tp, paper towel etc. As we were there during much of whale warching season we could see whales from the lanai some without binoculars and many with the binoculars. We enjoyed the sunsets from the lanai or walked to the beach to enjoy the sunsets. Finally the owners are excellent communicators, quick responses. Questions about the island or what to do, they were great at making suggestions. Thank you Megan and Bryan! We would definitely come back!
Our family of four had a comfortable stay at Megan and Bryan's cute condo. The central location was great, and the ocean view was a bonus. The beach across the street is perfect for sunsets. Note that you should stop at the store on the way there from the airport for toilet paper and paper towels, other basics as you’ll only get a couple of items to tide you over until then.
If you’re looking for a place close to the beach, this spot is perfect. You can see the ocean from the balcony which was the perfect spot for mining coffee. The place is a great size for a family and easy communication with Megan made our stay seamless.

We absolutely loved our stay at the hale. It was ample space for my family of three. The beds were comfortable (coming from a pregnant lady in her third trimester this means a lot!), space was extremely clean, we have everything we needed and more, and the location cannot be more perfect! Megan’s place is a fabulous place to stay. The view is beautiful and there are a ton of beach amenities. We have stayed in this complex in another unit and it is in an amazing location: great pool, right across the street from the beach, and in a central part of town where all necessities are close by. You won’t regret your stay here!

Amazing location, priceless view from the lanai, and a cozy condo that felt like home for the week. Great amenities - having beach gear + washer and dryer was a huge plus! Megan was lighting fast with her responses and was a pleasure to communicate with. Highly recommend the Hale and I hope we get the chance to stay there again some day.

The beds and pillows were SUPER comfortable and 4 adults cohabitated here for a week without incident or argument (I mean...how could you with that view?!). You'll have to be prepared to walk your luggage to the 3rd floor (no problem for we hikers), but it's so worth it to be in the tops of the trees and hearing the birds so close by. Parking was secure (plus you can see the spot from the apartment) and you'll have easy access to loads of stores, restaurants, and only a short drive (30-40min) to the airport. About an hour from Haleakala and 45 from Lahaina (seeing a pattern here? basically anything you could possibly want within an hour). ABSOLUTELY recommended for any traveler, but particularly for friend-cations <3

If you want to see the ocean and walk to the beach in 2 min, this is the place for you!

As luck would have it we booked our first trip to Maui during the biggest storm that had threatened the island in years! There is a nice lanai that has some beach chairs and other floaties that the host allows you to use. The place was spotless clean on our arrival. The kitchen is fully outfitted with everything you need to cook. There are BBQs in the pool area too. You could easily come to here and just stay at the condo, the pool and the beach across the street the entire stay.

If I am forced to pick a downside, the unit does not have any elevator and is on the third floor so if you have heavy bags to lug, its a good exercise.

The place was clean and uncluttered and relaxing. The grounds are well-kept and we took advantage of the grills for dinner on multiple occasions. The neighborhood was generally quiet in the evenings and very quiet and night usually. The condo is indeed convenient to the beach, but also centrally located for shopping, dining, and activities.

Both beds were so comfortable, and we appreciated the ability to use the washer/dryer while there. It was great to be able to cook a meal while there, knowing that the kitchen was so well stocked with the basics. Construction on the lanai was going on during our stay, which prevented our use of the balcony, but we were able to enjoy the beautiful sunsets anyway. Thank you for sharing your little bit of paradise with us Megan, we really enjoyed our time there!
We had a great time at Megan's condo in Kihei. It was centrally located for easy access to various locations on Maui. The bed was incredibly comfortable, in an "I want to take this home with me" kind of way. The common room was spacious, comfortable, and breezy. We almost never needed the AC, although it was nice to have as an option. And the pool and hot tub were much loved by all, especially our 4-year-old niece. Other people living or staying in the condo complex were really friendly and easy-going. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially for folks who want some pool access in addition to beach time.

We have stayed 2 weeks in this wonderful apartment. It is as beautiful as it is shown on the pictures and nicely decorated. We could have slept forever in those perfect beds and the beach chairs from Tommy Bahama were just the best. The ocean view from the Lanai at sunset was perfect with a cold beer in your hand ;o) Megan has provided… We have stayed 2 weeks in this wonderful apartment. In regards to the toilet paper and paper towels, as listed in our house manual we only provide a starter pack of these items. It is the responsibility of the guest to provide any needed additional toilet paper and paper towels for the remainder of the stay. However, we do provide dish washer detergent, laundry detergent, liquid dish and hand soap, fabric softner sheets, and a large bath bar of soap at no additional cost to our guests.
In regards to the bathroom door sticking, we are replacing the lock this week.
