The Bungalow
This unit sits where the building meets the water, so the ocean is in front of you across the main living area, the dining table, and the lanai.
We renovated this condo from the studs out. Ten-foot vaulted ceilings keep it bright and airy, wide-plank floors run throughout, and a wall of glass puts the water in view from the living room, the dining table, and the private lanai. In winter, you can watch humpback whales breach from the lanai without putting down your coffee. In the evening, the light over the West Maui Mountains turns the whole north end of Kihei gold.
The kitchen has quartz counters, a gas double-oven range, a full-size French-door refrigerator, and brass fixtures against white subway tile. Everything you need is already in the drawers, down to the good knives and the spices. The bathroom has a glass walk-in rain shower over a pebble-stone floor with warm brass fittings throughout.

The Location
Kihei Holiday sits on almost two oceanfront acres at the calm north end of Kihei, right along three-mile Sugar Beach — the longest stretch of sand on Maui and a favorite for morning walks. You’re five to ten minutes from Kihei’s restaurants, grocery stores and farmers’ markets, about twenty minutes from Wailea’s golf and fine dining, and roughly forty minutes from the airport in Kahului.
It’s the quiet side of Kihei — far enough from the busier south end to hear the waves at night, but close enough that nothing is a hassle.
