Booking & rates

Send your dates through the booking form on our home page or message us directly on Instagram. Your request goes straight to your hosts, Megan and Bryan — there’s no platform middleman, so booking direct means more of your money goes into the stay itself. Every bungalow is also listed on Airbnb if you’d rather book there.

Best Ocean Views is a 2-bedroom with ocean views from every main room (sleeps 4). The Family Favorite is a top-floor 2-bedroom with in-unit laundry that sleeps 5. The Couples Getaway is a quiet studio for 2–3 at Kihei Bay Surf. The Modern Ocean View is our newest 2-bedroom renovation (sleeps 4).

If you’re unsure, tell us your group and dates and we’ll recommend the right fit.

Cancellation terms are confirmed with your booking. Because we’re a small, host-run operation, we’ll always talk you through the details before you commit — just ask when you reach out and we’ll be upfront about it.

Yes. Every bungalow is a registered, licensed Hawai’i short-term rental operating legally in hotel-zoned resort properties. Our Hawai’i TA license and registration numbers are listed in the footer of every page.

The bungalows

Best Ocean Views, The Family Favorite and The Modern Ocean View have air conditioning — The Family Favorite has A/C in every room. The Couples Getaway studio stays comfortable with trade-wind breezes and fans. If A/C is essential for you, let us know and we’ll point you to the right unit.

Yes. Both resorts have a swimming pool, and there are BBQ grills on site. Kihei Bay Surf also has a hot tub and a tennis court. The exact amenities are listed on each bungalow’s page.

Yes — every bungalow has a full kitchen stocked for real cooking, down to the coffee, spices and good knives. Many guests buy fresh fish at the market and grill it on the lanai; see our Kihei food guide for ideas.

Yes. All bungalows have fast Wi-Fi, and The Couples Getaway has 310 Mbps service — plenty for video calls and remote work.

The Family Favorite and The Modern Ocean View have an in-unit washer and dryer. The resorts also have laundry facilities on site for the other units.

Location & the beach

On the calm north end of Kihei, in two small oceanfront resorts — Kihei Holiday and Kihei Bay Surf — both along three-mile Sugar Beach. You’re 5–10 minutes from Kihei’s restaurants and shops, about 20 minutes from Wailea, and roughly 40 minutes from Kahului Airport (OGG).

Very close. Kihei Holiday sits right along Sugar Beach, and Kihei Bay Surf is directly across the street from the sand. Sugar Beach is the longest beach on Maui — perfect for morning walks and calm swims. See our beach guide for more.

In season, yes — humpback whales are in the channel off Kihei from roughly mid-December through April, and guests regularly watch them breach right from the lanai. We keep binoculars on hand. Our whale-watching guide has the details.

Sugar Beach itself is sandy (great for swimming), but excellent reefs are a short drive away — Ulua, the Kamaole points, Turtle Town in Makena, and Molokini by boat. Our snorkeling guide covers where and when to go.

Arrival & your stay

Check-in is at 3 pm and check-out is at 11 am. Check-in is self-service with a keypad or smart lock, so you can arrive on your own schedule. If you need to store bags or have an unusual arrival time, just ask.

Yes — every bungalow includes free on-site parking at no extra charge.

We recommend one. While the beach and some dining are walkable, a car makes it easy to explore Maui — the other beaches, snorkeling spots, the Road to Hana and Haleakala are all best reached by car.

Absolutely. The Family Favorite is our most popular choice for families, sleeping 5 with beach gear, toys and binoculars included. The beach is a short walk, the water is calm on the north end, and the pool is on site.

That’s one of the best parts of booking direct. We’ve lived on Maui since 2012 and love sharing the island — beaches, snorkeling, restaurants, day trips. Start with our local Maui travel guide, and ask us anything when you arrive.
