Our bungalows sit in two small condominium resorts on the calm north end of Kihei — Kihei Holiday, a 45-unit community on almost two acres facing the ocean, and Kihei Bay Surf, a low-rise hideaway across the street from the beach. You’re five to ten minutes from Kihei’s restaurants, groceries and shops, a short drive from Wailea’s golf and fine dining, and far enough from the crowds to hear the waves at night.

Our most-loved bungalow — top floor, vaulted ceilings, and a lanai made for sunsets. The granite kitchen comes stocked down to the spices, there’s air conditioning in every room, and the beach is steps across the street. Guests keep coming back with their kids; the binoculars on the shelf are for the whales.
